"How my Dad helped me to have a University degree"- Davido says in an interview

After Davido came back from the US without a degree because he had dropped out to pursue music, his dad collaborated with Babcock University Nigeria to create a brand new department of music just because of his son.


The university had a special place in the Adeleke family, as it was where Davido’s mother used to teach before she dîed back in 2003. Over the years, Adeleke Sr. invested over ₦200 million into this establishment, so when he approached the university administration with a request to open a new department, they had no other choice but to comply.
