The request of a powerful African President has been denied. 

Zimbabwean president, Emmerson Mnangagwa, who earlier requested permission from King Charles III to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral on Monday has been denied. 

Buckingham Palace in a statement said: “there is also concern at the confirmed reports of non-adherence to respecting human rights occurring in Zimbabwe.”
